This course will focus on the history, process, and technical requirements of the National Watershed Rehabilitation Program and, more specifically, a review of key technical requirements associated with the design and investigation of dams and spillways following Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) guidance for rehabilitation of those structures. The typical alternatives considered to correct deficiencies will be presented.

- A discussion of NRCS rehabilitation case studies with photos, discussions about specific items that were encountered during design and/or construction, and why those items are relevant to NRCS rehabilitation design.
